The AWL Heathrow office arranged a large shipment for the upcoming “Rite of Spring” ballet and orchestral concerts in Adelaide, Australia.
The goods all travelled under ATA Carnet to Australia in plenty of time for the performance, which is due to take place at the start of March.
We are planning to handle the return shipment to the UK for further performances later this year.
The Rite of Spring
Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring is one of the most seminal ballet scores of all time. The late Pina Bausch’s visceral 1975 version is widely regarded as the finest ever staged.
As part of his mission to transmit his mother’s greatest works to new generations of dancers, Salomon Bausch has initiated an extraordinary posthumous collaboration: a new staging of Pina’s Rite with dancers based in African countries.
Thirty-eight superb dancers, selected in an unprecedented audition process from 14 nations across the continent, rehearsed for months at Acogny’s École des Sables in Senegal, with every gesture from the original production recreated through the dance practice of its distinctive African performers.
The ballet will be staged in Her Majesty’s Theatre, Adelaide, on 4th-6th March 2022.
