Team AWL continued our support of White Lodge, by sponsoring the 8th hole at the Chobham Golf Club.
AWL joined 28 other teams on the White Lodge Golf Day on 19th October. It was a very mixed day of weather with storms overhead, but we bravely battled the elements to secure 7th place.
The golf event raised £28,000, with funds raised on the course and at the after-dinner auction. It was a fantastic day organised by the White Lodge team, and we’re delighted to assist with their fundraising efforts.
About White Lodge
White Lodge provides services and support that enable those with a range of disabilities, their families and carers to lead fulfilling lives. They currently support over 2,500 individuals across Surrey and beyond through a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities.
The charity is based on a wonderful two-acre site in Chertsey with great facilities and services for all ages, including: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks, fitness and rehabilitation and many activities such as trips out, art, baking, swimming, and much more.
It costs over £2.5 million a year, and the costs are not fully met by statutory funding, so the charity relies on voluntary donations to maintain vital services.
