This month’s regional spotlight takes us to Glasgow, where the Advantage Worldwide team combines decades of logistics experience with strong local knowledge and access to our global network.

Led by Regional Manager Kenneth Brodie, the Glasgow office supports customers across Scotland and beyond. Kenneth has spent 18 years with Advantage Worldwide and brings more than 40 years of experience across transport, logistics and operations.

Alongside him, Heather Melrose, Senior Operations Coordinator, has been part of the Glasgow team for more than 11 years. Having originally joined as an Operations Coordinator handling imports, exports and multimodal shipments, Heather’s role has developed as the business has grown, and she now focuses predominantly on quotations and rates, finding the best options for customers.

The team has also recently welcomed Samantha Cleland as Operations Coordinator. As we introduced Samantha earlier in this edition, she brings more than 15 years of logistics and customer service experience to the growing Glasgow team.

From Glasgow, the team provides:

  • Air freight, with Glasgow Airport right on the doorstep

  • Sea freight for full container loads and smaller consignments

  • UK and European road freight

  • Customs clearance across air, sea and road

  • Secure warehouse storage

  • Freight consultation to find the right transport solution

That expertise is also helping Scottish businesses reach customers much further afield. The Glasgow team regularly supports the export of traditional Scottish products to the USA, including biscuits, butter, cheese, tea and coffee, working with customers and producers across Scotland.

It’s a good example of what our regional network offers. Customers have access to a team that understands the local market and their individual requirements, backed by the international reach and wider capabilities of Advantage Worldwide.

As Kenneth puts it, the team’s strength comes from combining experience, local expertise and customer service to solve complex logistics challenges every day.
