AWL Shipments: From Vegan Cheese to Resins

Our Glasgow team has recently been kept busy with a diverse range of shipments.

The team were deployed to move a 9-tonne shipment of dairy-free vegan cheese to Newark. Known as ‘Sheese’, this cheese alternative is part of a worldwide move towards animal-free dairy products.

The vegan cheese market is already estimated to be approximately $600 million, and it’s a growing market.

It's an environmentally friendly option when it comes to logistics too. The animal-free products have a longer shelf-life and don’t require cold-chain logistics for transportation. All of this means greater supply chain efficiencies, reduced costs, and stability in pricing.

In contrast, to demonstrate the diversity of our industry, the team were also involved in the shipment of Amino and Phenolic Resins by air to India. This complex operation required the movement of 72 200-litre drums weighing 16 tonnes.
