Team AWL Tees Off for Charity

Team AWL joined the White Lodge team for their annual Golf Day at the beautiful North Hants Golf Club in Fleet, famously known as Justin Rose’s home course.
With 20 teams taking part, the AWL crew started strong, showing great teamwork and steady play throughout the front nine.
After 16 holes, they were sitting an impressive sixth overall, but a few tough shots on the final two holes saw them finish a respectable joint 14th place. Spirits remained high as everyone enjoyed a fantastic day of golf.
Meeting rising star Leo Millar
On the Par 3 8th hole, the team met Leo Millar, a rising star in disability golf who was demonstrating adaptive golf techniques. He hosted a “get nearer the pin than Leo” challenge, and two of our players rose to the occasion, each winning a handy pack of golf balls.
Supporting White Lodge
White Lodge is AWL’s chosen charity, providing vital support and services for children, young people and adults with disabilities. The event raised an impressive £21,400 to help fund their incredible work, making it a really rewarding day both on and off the course.
