Once again, very warm greetings to you all as we rapidly exit spring and are soon to enter the summer season here in the Northern Hemisphere.

The current turmoil with the new US tariffs, conflicts in both Ukraine-Russia and India-Pakistan, do at times cast a shadow over our normal positivity, so I will gloss (for want of a better word) over them for now. I live in hope all will be resolved sooner rather than later, and by the time I put pen to paper for the next blog.
Here and now, we are experiencing the driest and probably warmest spring for many years. Aside from the ongoing debate about global temperatures, I am all for the change in seasons we experience, having had many months of cold, dark days and almost record levels of rain. So zero complaints from me with this warm and sunny spell!
Referencing a warm and sunny spell, it has indeed been a very sunny few months of 2025 for AWL. We’re fast approaching the halfway point of the year (quite unbelievable) with new faces joining the AWL family throughout our UK locations, which are reported further in the blog.
We have exciting news to share about the opening of our latest facility in Birmingham in early May.
We have exciting news to share about the opening of our latest facility in Birmingham in early May. This is office number six, located in the UK's second-largest city. It is a major international commercial centre with an important transport, retail, and conference hub, along with a large manufacturing sector, most notably in the automotive industry, with JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) and Aston Martin based in the region. A very positive move for the company in a location we have long desired to be represented. It just took us a little longer than initially planned, but all good things come to those who wait.
This, along with the continued growth of all regional hubs, is pointing to a very good year for the company. We’ve had some excellent contract gains and upselling of existing long-term customers, who are asking us to provide additional services as they themselves enter new trade lanes.
Here's to an exciting next few months - best hold on for the ride!
