Summer greetings to you all. I sincerely hope this latest edition of our blog finds you well and enjoying your summer or, for those down under, winter!
You will know I’m an optimist by nature. As much as this industry is seeing demand in certain regions flattening out, we continue to be holding up very well here at AWL.
We’re providing some steady numbers now that we have had the opportunity to fully assess our half-year financials. We’re notably at a higher level than the first half year of the Covid-19 pandemic (arguably the last year of normality) throughout all business segments and regions.
And we continue to create opportunities across the board. We’ve seen contract renewals in Automotive and new contract wins in our 3PL department. This has resulted in new staff members being added in August in both departments. Exciting news, I’m sure you will agree.

For the past few months, we’ve also been preparing to roll out the latest upgrade to our freight management software, which you can read more about here. This is quite a significant upgrade and has been a while in the making. It will further enhance how we operate and improve our service provision, not only to our commercial customer base but also to our global partners.
Plus, of course, not forgetting the continued development of our new region and facility in Exeter. So, all is to play for in the second half of 2023.
